First Aid 101

 First Aid 101

Last week Te Kinga students spent Monday learning about how to treat common injuries and conditions with basic first aid. Little did they know that amongst their peers were some very good actors who on Tuesday (our Big Day Out) were going to put them to the test as to how well they could apply this new knowledge...

The day started normally until we 'lost' Kaelyn on the Velenski Track. Poor Kaelyn had hypothermia by the  time we found her - her team tried their best to save her!

Next Jimi 'broke' his arm - not a bad sling there!
Tara was also treated for a nasty bruise after a 'fall' while we walked on this track.

A shelter challenge always brings out the best and worst in people - especially during the 'water-proof'
 test!

Look at that nasty cut - lucky Morgan's team knew what to do!

Where there's a fire there is a potential for burns - Tui's group used the lake to cool off her 'burn for 20mins - top work!  And everyone had smores!

And back to school again - well done Te Kinga!
