Fun with Fractions!

In week 5 we had a special visitor to Te Kinga (Sarah) who challenged us with some fun problems involving fractions... look at the images below - if the the dark green rod is one half, then how many wholes make up the designs?

Friday Night Gala!

Most of our students took the technology challenge idea from class to the gala. It was a successful night despite the rain and everyone had a great time!

Week 5

The String Quartet

Last week our school was treated to a visit from a string quartet. We were all totally mesmerised by the beautiful and unique sounds of the violins, viola and cello. We learnt a great deal about this style of music and the musicians themselves.
